Sexton has been charged with robbery, second-degree assault, motor-vehicle theft, and theft.

The alleged robbery occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the BP gas station on the 15800 block of Frederick Road in Woodbine. The gas station employee called police and said a man (whom he didn't know) and a woman (whom he did know) had approached him in the station's parking lot, assaulted him, and stolen a bank bag, cash, credit cards and keys to his car.

The two alleged robbers then left in the employee's 2006 Chevy Cobalt. They are accused of subsequently getting cash from the employee's bank account at multiple ATMs.

The employee told police that he knew the alleged female robber, which led police to Sexton. And Sexton's arrest then led to Shields being named as the male suspect, according to police.

Shields was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 19, in his home, and is being held in the Howard County Detention Center. Bail has been set at $85,000. Sexton was arrested on Monday, Oct. 18, in an unrelated case, and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Her bail has been set at $20,000, though police say a warrant in the robbery case will "serve as a detainer."
