Police say two men entered the Exxon on the 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway at about 3 a.m. on Jan. 4, one threw hot coffee at the clerk’s face while the other went behind the counter and stole money from the register. The clerk told police that one of the men had a shiny object in his hand. Both men left on foot.
Police describe the suspects as two black men, one wearing a puffy blue coat and black pants, the other wearing a mask, a black jacket and black pants.
Police say someone reported the front door had been kicked in at a vacant residence on the 5600 block of Tricross Drive on Jan. 3. Police say multiple squatters have used the house, and this was the second reported burglary at the residence in two days. Police arrested two people in the first incident.
A resident returned home from vacation to the 5000 block of Summer Day Lane to find the residence had been broken into, according to police. Sometime between Dec. 20 and Jan. 4, someone had ransacked the master bedroom and stolen a large amount of jewelry and a laptop computer, according to police. The burglar entered through a kitchen window which police say was found open. There were no signs of forced entry.
Police say someone entered an apartment on the 9600 block of Basket Ring Road on Jan. 14 between 2:15 and 3 p.m. and stole a pair of sneakers that the resident had been trying to sell at school.
Police say a resident of the 5400 block of Fall River Row Court said someone tried to unlatch the door on Jan. 4 between 6 and 7:30 p.m. The resident reported that the living room screen door was partially opened, but no entry was made.
A house sitter arrived at a house on the 6100 block of Night Street Hill to find that the front door was open. Sometime between the nights of Jan. 5 and Jan. 6, someone had kicked open the door and stole a television and a laptop computer, police said.
Police say someone entered Bright Stars Learning Academy on the 5800 block of Cedar Lane sometime between 6 p.m. Jan. 2 and 6:50 a.m. the next morning. The door's locks had been damaged, police said, and the main office was ransacked. A laptop computer was reported missing.
Police were called to the Brunswick Bowling Alley on the 8400 block of Route 40 on Jan. 6 at about 2 p.m. but when they arrived, the victim had left the scene. Police say someone then called reporting that her boyfriend had been beaten up and they needed assistance at Oak Green Circle. Police said when they responded, they found a victim whose face was bleeding and had some teeth knocked out. The victim said someone stole his iPhone and some oxycodone. He was taken to Howard County General Hospital for treatment.
According to police, someone entered the garage to a home on the 2700 block of Links Court sometime between the night of Jan. 2 and 7 a.m. the next day. The burglar stole a wallet, laptop computer and a blood sugar measuring device. Police say someone broke into another vehicle in the driveway of another home on the same block and stole change.
Police say someone broke into a home on the 4500 block of Vineyard Overlook sometime between 4 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 7 a.m. the next morning, through an unlocked door. The burglar stole a video game system and a controller, along with an electric screwdriver, according to police. The burglar left through a back basement door.
Police say someone entered a home on the 4500 block of Tulip Way late the night of Jan. 3, or early the next morning. The burglar entered through an open garage door, according to police, and took a charger out of a car then entered the house and stole two iPods.
Police say a resident on the 6300 block of Meadowridge Road found the side of the front door pried open and a window screen removed on the night of Jan. 6. No entry was made into the home, according to police.
Police say a house on the 7500 block of Montevideo Road was burglarized sometime between 7 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 6:30 p.m. the next day. The resident said he found a broken basement window and reported a battery charger, air gun, air rifle, paint gun and other tools stolen from a padlocked room.
