Firefighters Snuff Out Shaker Drive Blaze

The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services said first arriving crews put out the fire.

Firefighters made quick work of a fire that broke out in a residence on Shaker Drive in Columbia Thursday, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

In a report issued just before 5:30 p.m., the department said that first arriving crews were able to knock the blaze, which was in the 10200 block of Shaker Drive.

The fire was located in a bedroom, according to the report.
