Serial Groper Admits to Grabbing Woman's Butt in Columbia Target: Police
Two days before, the man had pleaded guilty to three sex offenses from 2013.
An Ellicott City man who had just been convicted in a series of groping incidents struck again last week, Howard County police reported Monday.
Jeremy Kaho Ng, 27, pleaded guilty last Tuesday to inappropriately touching women on three separate occasions in 2013, according to police—in parking lots at Best Buy and the Mall in Columbia as well as outside a Columbia apartment building.
Ng, of the 10000 block of Whitworth Way in Ellicott City, was released on bond and slated to be sentenced Aug. 8 for three counts of fourth-degree sex offenses, police said.
Now he's facing a new set of charges after what happened Thursday at the Columbia Target, according to police.
A woman shopping at Target in the 6100 block of Dobbin Road approached a police officer in the area and said that a stranger was following her in the store and had walked behind her and grabbed her butt, police said.
When she left the store, he was standing near her vehicle, and she noticed a white Dodge Ram following her vehicle as she exited the parking lot, police said.
Police identified Ng as the suspect through investigation, and he turned himself in on Saturday. He has been charged with second-degree assault, stalking and fourth-degree sex offense, online court records show.
Ng is being held at the Howard County Detention Center on $175,000 bond, police said. For the latest charges, he has a court date of Oct. 15.
Anyone who may have experienced something similar to this incident is encouraged to let police know by calling 410-313-STOP.
