Robbery in Elkridge, Break-ins in Three Towns: Howard County Crime Roundup

Elkridge: Robbery

A man who was getting out of his car on the 6300 block of Bayberry Court was robbed at gunpoint of his money, according to the Howard County Police Department.

The robbery happened at about 11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26. The suspect left on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20s, approximately 5-foot-10, with an average build, with short, dark hair, and wearing all black with a black mask over his face.

Atholton: Burglary

A jewelry box and a safe containing personal documents were stolen from a home on the 10000 block of Cape Ann Drive. The residence was also ransacked. The suspect or suspects got inside after breaking a glass panel, then reaching inside and unlocking the front door. The burglary happened sometime between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27.

Harper’s Choice: Burglary

Copper wire was stolen from a First Electric trailer on the 5700 block of Cedar Lane. There were no signs of forced entry. The burglary happened sometime between 12 p.m. on Friday, April 22, and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26.

Ellicott City: Burglary 

A television, a computer and a painting were stolen from a home on the 11800 block of Farside Road. There were no signs of forced entry. The burglary happened sometime between 7 p.m. on Monday, April 25, and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27.

Ellicott City: Burglary

A camera and two monitors were stolen from Keller Williams Realty on the 3200 block of North Ridge Road. The suspect or suspects got inside after prying open a front door. The burglary happened sometime between 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28.

Jessup: Break-in

It was not known what was stolen following a break-in at a residence on the 8700 block of Mary Lane. The suspect or suspects got inside after breaking a basement window. The break-in was reported at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27.

Elkridge: Vehicle theft

A 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser was stolen from BWAE on the 7100 block of Dorsey Run Road. It was stolen sometime between April 3 and April 27.
