Robbery at Mall: Columbia Crime Roundup
The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. It does not indicate a conviction. Crimes reported between August 2 - August 10.
Robbery
A man was reportedly walking toward the food court entrance of the Mall in Columbia when three males assaulted him and took his money around 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 4.

Catburglarly
A man reported seeing a young male crouching down and running away from his home near the 10500 block of Jason Lane when he shined a light on him after hearing noise from his second floor window at 3:14 a.m. on Aug. 10. No entry was made by the young male, but a small side basement window had been broken and a screen door cut, according to police.

Commercial Breaking and Entering
Someone allegedly attempted to gain entry to the manager’s office at Phelps Luck Pool by prying the door, but was unsuccessful, between 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 3.
Electronics were reportedly stolen from a residence near the 9300 block of Indian Camp Road after an unknown suspect or suspects gained entry by breaking a rear basement window between 5 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Car Theft
A red Honda CRV was reported stolen near the 6200 block of Satinwood Drive on Aug. 8 at 8:29 a.m.
