Robberies in Wilde Lake, Owen Brown, Harper’s Choice: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Wilde Lake: Robbery attempt

The victim was riding his bicycle Monday morningnear the intersection of Twin Rivers Road and Daystar Road when two suspects “forced him to stop and demanded the bike,” according to police. “The victim refused and was assaulted.”

The suspects then fled on foot without the bike. The victim had minor facial injuries.

One suspect was described as a black male teenager, tall with a slim build, and wearing blue shorts and a white muscle shirt. The other suspect was described as a black male teenager, tall with a slim build, and wearing all black.

The attempted robbery happened between 11:15 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. on June 20.

Owen Brown: Robbery

A victim was walking behind the Giant Food grocery store on the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way when a group of suspects threw a drink at him and stole money from him. The robbery was reported at 8:19 p.m. on Monday, June 20. No other information was given.

Harper’s Choice: Robbery

Four victims were walking near the Swansfield pool on the 5600 block of Cedar Lane when two suspects approached them, implied that they had a gun, displayed a knife and then got away in a vehicle with cash, cell phones and credit cards. The robbery was reported at 10:57 p.m. on Monday, June 20.

Oakland Mills: Burglary

Cash, jewelry and personal documents were stolen from a residence on the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road. There were no signs of forced entry. The burglary happened sometime between 9 a.m. on Monday, June 20, and 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

Owen Brown: Break-in

A break-in was reported at a residence on the 7100 block of Peace Chimes Court. It was reported at 8:41 p.m. on Monday, June 20. No other information was available.

Jessup: Burglary

A television, camera and coins were stolen from a residence on the 10100 block of Winterbook Lane. The residence was also ransacked. The suspect or suspects got inside after forcing open a rear sliding glass door. The burglary happened sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 1:11 p.m. on Monday, June 20.

Fulton: Break-in

A break-in was reported at a residence on the 8200 block of Reservoir Road. It was reported at 6:38 p.m. on Monday, June 20. No other information was available.

Elkridge: Vehicle theft

A red Subaru Outback with Maryland license plate EQ0088 was stolen from the 6300 block of Green Field Road. It was reported stolen at 6:10 a.m. on Monday, June 20.
