Police Identify Ellicott City Victim in Fatal Crash

The 51-year-old woman was the sole occupant in the car.

Howard County police have identified the woman as Lynn Ann Lubitz, 51.

According to a statement released by Cpl. Christopher J. Krieger, Lubitz was driving a 2007 Infinity M35x at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, on the 4300 block of Brittany Drive.

While driving westbound, she came to a bend in the road, but continued straight, hitting a mailbox and then colliding head-on with a tree, according to police. Lubitz was taken to Howard County General Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
