Person Sitting in Car Robbed at Gunpoint in Elkridge: Howard County Crime Roundup

Police are looking for two men suspected of robbing a person at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon in Elkridge.

The victim was parked in a business lot on the 6300 block of U.S. Route 1 when a man approached the vehicle's window and asked for directions, according to the Howard County Police Department.

The man then displayed a gun and demanded the victim's wallet, police said. The man then took the wallet and fled across Route 1, entering a waiting vehicle on the passenger side. The waiting vehicle then drove south on Route 1.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 6-feet tall with a medium build, approximately 28 years old, with bloodshot eyes and a full beard. He was wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball cap, a black puffy jacket, blue jeans and Timberland boots.

The witness was only able to describe the second suspect – the driver – as a black male.

HARPER'S CHOICE: BURGLARY

Two laptops and jewelry were taken from a house on the 5300 block of Light House Court. A rear patio door was pried open. The burglary happened sometime between 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, and 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30.

TOWN CENTER: VEHICLE THEFTS

A gray 2002 Mazda Millennium with Maryland license plate 1MD7514 was stolen from the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. The vehicle was reported stolen on Sunday, Dec. 26, at 4:37 p.m.

A black 2001 Hyundai Sonata with Maryland license plate DM0043 was also stolen from the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. The theft happened sometime between 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and 4 p.m. that same day.

SAVAGE: BURGLARY

Two video game systems, video games and a laptop were stolen from a residence on the 8800 block of Howard Hills Drive. A sliding rear glass door was pried open. The burglary happened sometime between 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and 3 p.m. that same day.

LAUREL: BURGLARY

A computer was stolen from a residence on the 8400 block of Pamela Way. Entry was gained through unknown means. The burglary happened sometime between Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.
