Rhoades was sentenced to nine months in jail by Judge Timothy J. McCrone, according to Wayne Kirwan, spokesperson for the Howard County state's attorney's office. Matthews, who prosecutors described as forthcoming with authorities, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 27, 2013, according to Kirwan.

Two other out-of-state men have also pleaded guilty to drug charges related to the meth lab. Josiah David Martin, 23, of Mesick, MI and Amos Joel Martin, 21, also of Mesick, both pleaded guilty earlier this year. Josiah Martin is scheduled to be sentenced on March 8 and Amos Martin is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 18.

Police said they found the meth lab on June 4 after receiving a tip about a suspicious smell coming from a hotel room around 10:30 p.m. Inside the room, they found the four men along with chemicals, heroin, about 90 grams of methamphetamine and a handgun.

A fifth man, who police arrested in the parking lot of the hotel, was not indicted, according to officials.
