Nobody Injured in Holiday Inn Fire on Washington Boulevard

Multiple units were on the scene Tuesday afternoon.

A fire at the Holiday Inn in Jessup on Tuesday brought firefighters from Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties, said fire officials.

Nobody was injured in the incident on the 7900 block of Washington Boulevard, and more than 30 people were evacuated as crews worked to put the fire out, said Jackie Cutler, spokeswoman for Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

"When units arrived, they found smoke showing from the roof, which was eventually isolated to a small fire that had started from a pile of debris," said Cutler. "There were renovations taking place in the vicinity of the debris."
