Police reported no one was injured in a minor school bus accident in Columbia on Tuesday morning.
The bus was turning off Governor Warfield Parkway at about 7:30 a.m. to head westbound on Little Patuxent Parkway when it slowed down and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Lutherville man, according to police.
The Howard County school bus contained two Harper's Choice Middle School students and one driver who were not injured in the incident. Police said the bus took minimal damage.
The driver who struck the bus was also not injured, but was arrested by police and charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, according to police. The man's vehicle took most of the damage when its front end went up under the back of the bus, according to police.
Police reported the scene was cleared at 8:35 a.m.
