Masked Men Stage Break-In, Steal Pot

A pair of masked men broke into a home on Ashwood Road and stole the resident's belongings, and marijuana, said police.

On Friday morning, two men wearing masks and gloves broke into a Jessup home, assaulted a resident and stole belongings, including marijuana, according to police.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25, a pair of men kicked in the door to a home on the 8300 block of Ashwood Road, police said.

They implied that they had a gun and assaulted the person living there.

Police said there were no injuries but the suspects stole marijuana, a PlayStation, laptop, jewelry, tennis shoes and money.

No citations were issued, according to Sherry Llewellyn, spokeswoman for the Howard County Police Department.

LOL whats even funnier is they probably said it thinking they were going to get it back!

This is all very amusing, but it highlights exactly why drug gangs resort to violence to settle disputes. The cops won't help you get your drugs back when you get robbed, so it's best to be armed/have a pit bull/etc. Laws making drugs illegal do great harm to society.

Ohai's comment equating a pit bull to a gun for protection is not only ignorant but perpetuates the myth that pit bulls are dogs to be feared. They are not. Any dog can be trained to be aggressive. My mix pit bull would roll over to a stranger coming in the house. Maryland has already began enacting laws against pit bulls. That is called breed discrimination. Lets not spread the rumors that give these loving dogs such a bad rap and further make life difficult for pit bull owners.

Sorry you don't like it, but it's not in dispute that some seedy people use pit bulls (as well as other breeds) for protection and they specifically train them to be agressive. This is an unintended consequence of the war on drugs. If you don't like it perhaps you can lobby your elected blowhards for sane drug laws.
