Masked Men Rob Long Reach Pizza: Howard County Crime Reports
Crimes reported to Howard County Police between Sept. 21 - 27. All information provided by police.
Columbia
Armed robbery
Two masked men entered Long Reach Pizza on Cloudleap Court on Sept. 24 around 9 p.m. One man pointed a handgun at a person behind the counter and demanded money. The victim gave the men the money in the register and the men then fled on foot toward Long Reach High School. Both men were wearing black balaclavas, blue hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans.
Robbery
Two men assaulted a man while he was waiting at a bus stop in the 8700 block of Cloudleap Court around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23. The robbers punched the man in the face and stole his wallet, then fled. Detailed suspect descriptions were not provided.
Residential burglary
Jewelry boxes were taken from a residence in the 5000 block of Eliots Oak Lane sometime between Sept. 18 and Sept 23. There were no signs of forced entry.
Commercial burglary
Someone threw a rock through the front glass door of Mirage Beauty Supply in the 7100 block of Minstrel Way and then stole a drawer of haircare products at 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Residential burglary - arrests
A resident of the 8600 block of Hayshed Lane watched as three males took a bike from a detached garage at the home. Police responded and arrested two juveniles.

Robbery - street
A woman pulled to the side of the road near the 8200 block of Washington Blvd. and a red sedan, occupied by two men, stopped behind her. The woman told police the passenger exited the sedan, approached her, stole her purse and then fled around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 21.
Burglary
Someone stole a bicycle from an open garage in the 10100 block of Quiet Water Way while the residents were home on Sept. 25 around 3 p.m.
Ellicott City
Vandalism/ break-in
The glass on a ground floor door was shattered and someone went through items in the basement of a residence in the 10100 block of Hobsons Choice Lane on Sept. 21, although nothing was reported stolen.
Commercial burglary
Someone smashed the front door of the Verizon store in the 9400 block of Baltimore National Pike on Sept 24. and stole cell phones around 5 a.m.
Residential burglary
A teen girl reported she was inappropriately touched while sleeping on a couch inside a residence in the 8700 block of Town & Country Blvd by a burglar who entered the residence around 5 a.m. on Sept. 21. A laptop and cell phone were reported stolen.
Vacant apartment break-in
A maintenance worker reported a break-in at a vacant apartment in the 8700 block of Town & Country Blvd. around 7 a.m., police responded and apprehended a juvenile suspect who said he entered through an unlocked rear sliding door.
Residential burglary
Someone entered a shed in the 5500 block of Montgomery Road and stole items on Sept. 23 around 11:45 a.m.
Elkridge
Robbery
A man approached a woman in the parking lot of the BP gas station in the 5800 block of Washington Blvd. and asked for money. When the woman declined, the man threatened her with a knife. The woman through her wallet at the suspect and ran into the gas station. The man walked away with the wallet. Police described the suspect as a white male, about 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, with a skinny build, short brown hair, who was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a black jacket and dark pants.
