Man Wakes to Find Intruder: Columbia Crime Roundup

The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. It does not indicate a conviction. Crimes reported between Aug. 28 and Aug. 31, 2012.

 

Residential Breaking and Entering

A resident woke up to reportedly find an intruder standing over his dresser in his bedroom at a residence near the 5900 block of Bright Flow Mews around 3:55 a.m. on Aug. 31. The resident screamed and the intruder quickly left the house. Nothing was taken and police suspected the intruder entered through an open garage door.

An unknown suspect or suspects reportedly entered an attached garage at a residence near the 5000 block of Whetstone Road and allegedly stole a bicycle and an alcoholic beverage. In the process, the suspect left the freezer door open. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Aug. 28.
