Indecent Exposure in Columbia, Robbery in Ellicott City: Howard County Crime Roundup

COMPILED FROM THE DAILY POLICE BULLETIN... DORSEY'S SEARCH: INDECENT EXPOSURE

Police are looking for a man suspected of exposing himself Tuesday afternoon in the village of Dorsey's Search. 

The victim was walking at about 1:50 p.m. in the area of Columbia Road and Hemlock Cone Way when she saw a man in the woods who exposed himself.

The suspect was described as a black man, 6-feet tall with a muscular build and long black hair, and wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt and sunglasses.

ELLICOTT CITY: ROBBERY

Police believe a robbery reported Monday morning might have been drug-related. A man said he was at a party on the 2800 block of Kings Gift Drive when two to three men came up to him, assaulted him and stole a backpack that had his wallet and cash.

LAUREL: BURGLARY/ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFTS

A burglary at the Carmax on the 8700 block of Freestate Drive included an attempt to steal three vehicles. The suspect or suspects were somehow able to enter a secure lot.

"A GMC was driven into a gate, and two Mercedes were running and staged behind the GMC," police said in the daily bulletin.

The incident was reported at 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1.

ELLICOTT CITY: BURGLARY

Tools were reported stolen from a garage on the 12500 block of Folly Quarter Road. The suspect or suspects entered the garage by forcing open a side door. While the burglary was discovered at about 6:27 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, the victim was not able to narrow down when the tools had last been seen or the door had last been secured.

ELKRIDGE: BURGLARY

Tools were stolen following a burglary at Mayer Brothers on the 6200 block of Race Road. The suspect or suspects cut a lock on a fence, then cut a lock on a building. The burglary happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1.

JESSUP: BREAK-IN ATTEMPT

Nothing was taken following an attempted break-in on the 8700 block of Clemente Court. A known suspect tried to enter the residence by breaking a basement window, and then sought to get inside via the front door, but fled when the resident called police. The attempted break-in happened at about 9:59 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28.

WOODBINE: BURGLARY

Lock cutters were the only item reported stolen following a burglary on the 15100 block of Bushy Park Road. The suspect or suspects entered a home somehow and then entered a detached shed by cutting a lock. The burglary happened sometime between 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1.

COLUMBIA, ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION: VEHICLE THEFTS

- Columbia: A 2000 Honda Civic was stolen from the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way. It was reported stolen at 3:05 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28.

- Annapolis Junction: A red 2007 Peterbilt dump truck with Maryland license plate E39802D was stolen from Maryland Paving and Sealant on the 11000 block of Guilford Road. It was stolen sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, and 7:05 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28.
