Possible Burglar Spotted Running from Columbia Home: Crime Roundup

Residential burglary
A resident of the 6600 block of Dovecote Dr. saw someone running from her home on June 9 just before 1 a.m. She called police, who checked out the residence. Police did not find any sign of forced entry, but jewelry and an iPhone were reported stolen.

Police say they know who broke into a home on the 6300 block of Euclid Ave. on June 8 at about 11:30 p.m. An ATM card, cash and guns were reported stolen.
Police do not know how a burglar got into a home on the 7100 block of Montgomery Road on June 9. The burglar stole a safe that contained money, a passport, a cell phone and a camcorder.
Ellicott City
Residential burglary
Someone pried open the ground-floor door on a vacant home on the 4000 block of College Avenue sometime between June 6 and 9. The burglar headed to the basement. Police said the burglar may have wanted the copper piping, but the plumbing in the home had recently been updated to PVC pipes.
Laurel
Residential burglary
Someone broke a back window on a home on the 11300 block of Bishops Gate Lane on June 9 between 8 a.m. and noon. Cash, furniture and video games were reported stolen.
Someone pried open a window screen on the back of a home on the 9100 block of Knox Court sometime between 9 p.m. June 8 and 10:30 the next morning. The burglar entered through an unlocked window; nothing was reported stolen.
County-wide vehicle thefts
A 2012 KYMC scooter was reported stolen from the 9000 block of Gracious End on June 7
A 2009 Suzuki M/C was reported stolen from the 8900 block of Twelve Sons Court on June 7
A grey Yamaha R1000 was reported stolen from the 11900 block of Little Patuxent Parkway on June 8
A 2003 silver International 4400 rollback was reported stolen from the 7000 block of Troy Hill Drive on June 9. The truck was recovered later that day in Anne Arundel County.
A 2010 burgundy Ford Mustang was reported stolen from the 7600 block of Woodpark Lane on June 9.
