Four Teens Indicted for Attempted Murder of Cab Driver

The Oakland Mills High students were arrested and charged earlier this month.

Four Oakland Mills High School students, who allegedly choked and held a cab driver at gunpoint in an attempt to rob him on March 1, were indicted for attempted murder, armed robbery and related offenses by a Howard County grand jury on Wednesday.

Khalid Woods, 19, Woody Rousseau and Chelby Ofosusafori, both 17, and Johnam Perez-Rivera, 16, have been charged as adults. Woods, Perez-Rivera and Ofosusafori remain in custody while Roussea was released on bail on March 18, according to court records.

Police said that the four called a taxi to take them to a nearby party and when the cab arrived, Perez-Rivera allegedly used a karate belt to choke the driver while Woods pointed a BB gun at him and demanded money.
