Four Columbia Break-Ins: Howard County Crime Roundup
The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Ellicott City: Robbery
Shortly after 6 p.m. on March 20, a suspect stole a bicycle from a victim near the intersection of McKenzie Road and Thornbrook Road. Officers arrested the juvenile suspect and the bicycle was returned.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 7 p.m. on March 19 and 7 a.m. on March 20, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear window of a residence on the 6300 block of Gray Sea Way and stole a laptop, video game console, jewelry and jewelry box.
Brookeville: Break-In
Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on March 20, the owner of a residence on the 6500 block of Haviland Mill Road returned home and saw an unknown vehicle in the driveway. The resident entered the home and witnessed an unknown suspect carrying a bag, who then fled upon being discovered. The suspect stole several items and left in the vehicle in the driveway.
Ellicott City: Break-In
Between 11:30 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. on March 20, two unknown suspects entered the front door of a residence on the 3600 block of Chatham Road and stole jewelry.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 1 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on March 20, an unknown number of suspects entered an apartment on the 10300 block of Swift Stream Place and stole jewelry.
Columbia: Break-In
On March 16, an unknown number of suspects entered an apartment on the 10400 block of Swift Stream Place and stole jewelry.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 1:30 p.m. on March 20 and 3:10 a.m. on March 21, an unknown number of suspects pried open the rear basement window of a residence on the 5600 block of April Journey Road, stealing jewelry, a watch and cufflinks.
Elkridge: Vehicle Theft
Shortly after 11 a.m. on March 20, a white 2005 Ford F250 with PA tags FAM1254 was reported stolen from the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard.
