Five Injured in Crash Friday Afternoon in Dayton

The single-car crash on Route 32 saw the vehicle go off the road, hit a guardrail and then fly into the air, according to police.

Five people riding in the same vehicle had to be taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after a crash on Route 32 that sent their car off the road, into a guardrail and then up into the air, according to the Howard County Police Department.

The crash happened at about 1:47 p.m. on the section of the highway in Dayton. A 2002 Ford Crown Victoria was headed southbound when it traveled off the right side of the road, which in turn led to the collision with the guardrail and the car subsequently going airborne, police said.

The vehicle rotated and finally wound up in a wooded area along the highway.
