A kitchen fire displaced a family of three in Columbia Monday afternoon, according to the Howard County Fire Department.
The fire in a residence in the 7900 block of Brightwind Court, which is located on the Columbia/ Ellicott City line, was subdued by firefighters around 5:50 p.m. Monday night, according to the fire department's Twitter account.
No one was injured in the fire and a cause was not immediately provided, according to the department. The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
