Crime Roundup: Break-Ins, Car Thefts in Columbia

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Elkridge: Commercial Robbery

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, an unknown suspect approached an employee of Elkridge Liquors, on the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard, displayed a gun and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled with cash.

Ellicott City: Construction Break-In

Between 4 p.m. on Oct. 28 and 7:15 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects cut a lock at the Howard County Landfill, on the 4500 block of New Cut Road, and stole solar panels.

Columbia: Construction Break-In

Between 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 7 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects pried open a door of a construction trailer on the 5700 block of Oakland Mills Road and stole tools and construction equipment.

Ellicott City: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 3 a.m. on Oct. 31, an unknown number of suspects broke the front glass door of East Moon Asian Bistro, on the 5700 block of Richards Valley Road, and stole cash.

Columbia: Break-In

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Oct. 28, an unknown number of suspects entered the garage of a residence on the 9500 block of Many Miles Mews and then entered a vehicle.

Columbia: Break-In

Between March 3 and Oct. 29, an unknown number of suspects entered a vacant home on the 10300 block of Daystar Court and stole an air conditioner.

Columbia: Break-In

Between Oct. 26 and Oct. 29, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear window and entered a vacate home on the 9600 block of Hurstborne Road. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

North Laurel: Break-In

Between 4 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. on Oct. 29, an unknown number of suspects broke a glass panel and reached in to enter a residence on Cross Street, stealing jewelry and a storage box.

Columbia: Break-In

Between Oct. 17 and Oct. 30, an unknown number of suspects entered the rear sliding glass door of a residence on the 6000 block of Majors Lane and stole jewelry.

Laurel: Break-In

Between 6 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 30, an unknown number of suspects forced open the front door of a residence on the 9200 block of Pinenut Court, damaging a china cabinet and stealing cash.

Ellicott City: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 11 a.m. on Oct. 29, a green Mazda was stolen from a residence on the 2700 block of Saint Johns Lane.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, a white Jeep Cherokee with MD tags M374935 was stolen from a residence on the 6100 block of Shaded Leaf Court.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Between 11 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 9:45 a.m. the following day, a 2005 Toyota Sienna with MD tags 421M346 was stolen from a residence on the 11900 block of New Country Lane. Police said the vehicle was recovered in Maple Lawn.
