Crime Round-Up: Flashlight-Armed Suspect Arrested at Columbia Royal Farms

The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Columbia: Commercial Robbery Attempt

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on July 26, an unknown suspect confronted an employee outside of the Royal Farm Store on the 8700 block of Centre Park Drive, threatened him with a flashlight and demanded money. The employee returned to the store and called 911 while the suspect waited nearby. Officer located and arrested the suspect on the location.

Between July 21 and July 25, an unknown number of suspects broke a window of a residence on the 6700 block of Guilford Road, but failed to gain entry.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft Attempt

Around 4:30 a.m. on July 25, a vehicle was reported stolen from near the intersection of Quiet Hours and Waning Moon Way. Officers arrested a man with the vehicle and charged him with motor vehicle theft, theft, fourth-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.
