2 People Injured in Jessup Crash: Howard County Rescue Officials
The collision was reportedly a head-on crash on US Route 1.
There were "substantial delays" after a crash on US Route 1 in Howard County, officials said Thursday morning.
A head-on crash was reported in Jessup at Gatewood Drive, according to WNEW, which reported Route 1 was completely closed after 8:30 a.m.
Two people were rescued—one with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening and another with minor injuries—the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported at 8:23 a.m.
Deep Run Elementary School sent a message to parents just before 8:45 a.m. stating that the crash had cleared but "substantial delays" remained that could delay buses.
