Camper Crash Blocked I-95 Ramp in Howard County

The incident occurred near MD Route 216/Scaggsville Road.

A crash near Scaggsville involving a camper tied up traffic on Interstate 95 north on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The crash was originally reported at 1:49 p.m., when an overturned vehicle was blocking the ramp to westbound MD Route 216, according to WTOP

The collision involved a vehicle pulling a camper that overturned near the exit to Route 216, according to a report from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

Two people were trapped inside and had to be rescued by first responders, according to the report.

The victims were taken with minor injuries to Howard County General Hospital, the report said.

Maryland State Police and the Maryland State Highway Administration responded, and traffic was moving with delays, the department of fire and rescue services reported after 2:15 p.m.

After 3 p.m. the crash was moved to the shoulder by the exit ramp.
