Columbia Teen Facing Murder Charge for Pasadena Party Shooting

Prosecutors dropped charges against a Glen Burnie teen in the shooting, but a Columbia teen still faces a first-degree murder charge.

A Columbia teen remains charged with first-degree murder after a shooting at a party in Pasadena, but charges against another teen have been dropped, according to The Capital-Gazette.

Prosecutors dropped a first-degree murder charge and various other charges against Daniel Alex Savage, 18, of Glen Burnie for a lack of evidence, reports The Capital-Gazette.

Prosecutors have not, however, dropped charges against Ronald Lee McLeod, of Columbia, who also was arrested in the shooting at a Pasadena house party that killed Matthew Morrow, 21. McLeod still faces a first-degree murder charge and other charges related to the incident.

Attmepts to contact McLeod's attorney on Thursday were not immediately returned.

Police originally charged both McLeod and Savage in Morrow's murder that occured outside a house in Pasadena at 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. According to the Capital-Gazette, a witness saw shots being fired from a black truck with tinted windows that may have contained people other than McLeod and Savage.

An Anne Arundel County state's attorney's spokesperson said police are still investigating the incident, but that there's not enough evidence to charge Savage, according to the Capital-Gazette.

What kind of dysfunctional family produces a dangerous kid like this one? Way too many like this one. Very sad.

The same type of "parent" he may beand millions of his peers are. An absent sperm donor to 3 or more children with 3 or more egg donors. Being brought up in a fatherless home with a mostly absent mother and having fatherless children is the sure path to jail and a grave. The continued cycle must stop at some point.
