On July 10, Jackson was reportedly arguing with the mother of his son when he took the 10-week-old baby from the mother’s arms and threw it face down into the pavement and stomped on him three times, according to the statement of facts report from the case. Jackson then turned to the mother’s sister and beat her in the face with his fists, according to the report.

The baby was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. No serious injuries were noted other than cuts and scratches to the face, arm, legs and abdomen, according to the report.

A neighbor who saw the incident said she thought the baby was a doll because of how it was thrown to the ground, according to the report. Jackson said at first that he accidentally dropped the baby, but later admitted he threw the baby to the ground because he was so angry with the mother and “was trying to hurt her,” according to the report.

Jackson must complete anger management classes, parenting classes and submit to psychological treatment as part of his probation conditions, according to the report.

Editor's Note: A correction has been issued for the fifth paragraph, the neighbor nor Jackson did not testify, their comments were recorded in the statement of the facts. The story has been corrected.
