Columbia Home Invasion Ends in Baltimore City: Police

The Howard County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that involved taking the victims to another jurisdiction.

Officials are investigating a home invasion that occurred Wednesday morning in Columbia, in which the victims were taken to Baltimore City, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At 2:22 a.m. on Wednesday, two people armed with guns entered a residence in the 5000 block of Durham Road, police said in a statement.

Officials did not know how the suspects got into the home, police said.

Once inside, the suspects demanded money from two victims, who were assaulted and forced into a vehicle, police said.

The vehicle was driven to a residence in Baltimore City, where police responded, according to the statement.

When police arrived, the suspects were gone, and officials said the investigation is ongoing.
