Columbia Crime Roundup, 11/4/10: Robbery by Handgun on Bike Path

ROUTE 175: ROBBERY

A man walking on a bike path through a tunnel underneath Route 175 was robbed Wednesday afternoon by three men, one of whom displayed a gun, according to Howard County Police.

The men took cash from the victim. The suspects are described as black males, approximately 5-foot-9, with dreadlocks and wearing masks, hooded sweatshirts and baggy jeans.

The robbery happened at about 2:40 p.m.

KINGS CONTRIVANCE: VEHICLE THEFT

A blue 2001 Volvo station wagon with Maryland license plate 5GCW94 was reported stolen from the 8400 block of Braddock Way. The theft was reported on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 6:37 a.m.

OAKLAND MILLS: VEHICLE THEFT

A black 2004 Mazda RX8 with Maryland license plate MLT134 was reported stolen from the 5100 block of West Penfield Road. The theft was reported on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 10:31 a.m.
