2 Vehicles Stolen, Construction Site Vandalized: Columbia Crime Blotter

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information.

Two vehicles were reported stolen in Columbia over the weekend in two separate incidents, according to the Howard County Police Department.

In one case, a dirt bike was reported stolen from a garage in the 8000 block of Nightwind Court, police said.

A door to the garage was unlocked and the suspect(s) entered sometime between 7 p.m. Saturday and 10:57 a.m. Sunday, according to the Howard County Police Department.

In the other case, a motorcycle was reported stolen from the 9600 block of Hingston Downs at 7:14 p.m. on Friday. The bike was a 2008 blue Kawasaki, according to police. A motorcycle stolen from this location was involved in a fatal crash Saturday night near Laurel Park.

Commercial Break-In

Windows were broken and a door was damaged at a construction site in Hickory Ridge sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11:21 a.m. Sunday. Police said nothing was taken from the site, located in the 10800 block of Harmel Drive.
