Burglaries in Columbia, Ellicott City, Fulton: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Oakland Mills: Burglary

A bottle of alcohol was stolen from a residence on the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road. There were no signs of forced entry. The burglary was reported at 5:54 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

Clothing and a ring were stolen from a residence on the 5400 block of Columbia Road. The suspect or suspects got inside through an unlocked front door. The burglary happened sometime between 10:40 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Atholton: Burglary

Electronics were stolen from a residence on the 10600 block of Shaker Drive. The suspect or suspects got inside through a window. The burglary happened sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Oakland Mills: Break-in

Nothing was reported stolen following a break-in at a vacant residence on the 5800 block of Morningbird Lane. The suspect or suspects got inside after breaking a rear window. The break-in was reported at 9:56 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Long Reach: Break-in attempt

No entry was made during an attempted break-in at the Locust Park pool on the 8900 block of Lambskin Lane. The suspect or suspects tried to get inside by prying a metal door. The attempted break-in happened sometime between 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Ellicott City: Burglary

Cash and a laptop were stolen from a residence on the 3600 block of Chatham Road. The suspect or suspects got inside after forcing open a window. The burglary happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, and 7 p.m. on Monday, June 20.

Fulton: Burglaries

Tools were stolen from two homes under construction on the 8100 block of Holly Manor Way. In both cases, the suspect or suspects got inside after forcing open a rear door. Police believe the burglaries are related. The burglaries happened between 12:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Fulton: Burglary

A dirt bike, tools and boots were stolen from a detached garage at a residence on the 11900 block of Scaggsville Road. The suspect or suspects got inside through an unlocked door. The dirt bike was found later in a nearby field.

Fulton: Break-in

A break-in was reported at a residence on the 8200 block of Reservoir Road. It was reported at 3:34 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21. No other information was available.

Laurel: Break-in  (with arrest)

A woman came to a home on the 9100 block of Stebbing Way to confront a resident and forced open the front door, according to police. The woman, a 32-year-old from Newark, DE, is facing misdemeanor charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.

Columbia: Vehicle thefts

- A gray Nissan Altima with Maryland license plate 5AJP17 was stolen from the 6100 block of Turnabout Lane. It was reported stolen at 10:24 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

- A white and red dirt bike with a black seat was stolen from the 5900 block of Grand Banks Road. It was reported stolen at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

- A black 2000 Honda Civic with Maryland license plate 06247HV was stolen from the 6500 block of Quiet Hours. It was reported stolen at 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.
