Burglaries in Columbia, Elkridge, Laurel, Sykesville: Howard County Crime Roundup

Hickory Ridge: Burglary 

Cash and alcohol were stolen from Peking Chef on the 6400 block of Freetown Road. The suspect or suspects got inside after breaking a front window. The burglary happened sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, and 10:43 a.m. on Monday, May 9.

Oakland Mills: Burglary

Copper pipes and other building supplies were stolen from a construction site on the 5500 block of Twin Knolls Road. The suspect or suspects got inside after removing a chain from a fence. The burglary happened sometime between 8 a.m. on Friday, May 6, and 6:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9.

Wilde Lake: Burglary

Two video game systems and a laptop were stolen from a residence on the 5000 block of Green Mountain Circle. The suspect or suspects got inside through an unlocked front door. The burglary happened sometime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday, May 9.

River Hill: Break-in

Nothing was reported stolen following a break-in at a home on the 6500 block of South Wind Circle. The suspect or suspects got inside through a glass rear door, but fled after the noise startled a resident. The break-in happened at about 11:40 a.m. on Monday, May 9.

Laurel: Burglary

Airbags were stolen from two vehicles and a door was stolen from a vehicle at Enterprise Rentals on the 10100 block of Washington Boulevard. The suspect or suspects got on the property after cutting a lock on a fence. The burglary happened sometime between 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, and 9 a.m. on Friday, May 6.

Elkridge: Burglaries 

Televisions, computers and sunglasses were stolen from two apartments on the 6900 block of Red Clay Forge. The suspect or suspects got inside after prying open the front doors. The burglaries happened sometime between 8:20 a.m. and 3:49 p.m. on Monday, May 9.

Sykesville: Burglary

Copper bars were stolen from AT&T /T-Mobile/Sprint property on the 700 block of Route 32. The suspect or suspects got on the property after cutting a lock on a gate. The burglary was reported at 7:07 p.m. on Monday, May 9. 

Columbia, Woodbine: Vehicle thefts

- Columbia: A red and white 1982 Yamaha MX80 dirt bike was stolen from the 6600 block of Seneca Drive. It was stolen sometime between Wednesday, May 4, and 5:46 p.m. on Monday, May 9.

- Woodbine: A blue and white 2006 Suzuki DR-ZA25K6 dirt bike and a green and white 2008 Kawasaki KLX140L were stolen from the 400 block of Woodbine Road. They were reported stolen at 5:36 p.m. on Monday, May 9.
