Bedroom Ransacked, Jewelry Stolen: Columbia Crime Roundup

The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. It does not indicate a conviction. Crimes reported between Sept. 24 to Sept. 27, 2012

 

Commercial Burglary 

Cash was allegedly stolen by an unknown suspect or suspects from Ardo Contracting on the 9600 block of Gerwig Lane between Sept. 22 -24. Police reported entry was made through an unlocked front door.

Residential Burglary

A silver Charm Glow gas grill was reported stolen from the rear deck of a residence near the 5900 block of Bright Flow Mews between 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.

The master bedroom of a residence near the 5000 block of Amesbury Drive was ransacked, but nothing was taken, after an unknown suspect allegedly entered through an unlocked screen door between 12:10 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. on Sept. 24. This break-in is being investigated by police in connection with a string of door kick-in burglaries throughout Howard County.

Jewelry was reportedly stolen from the master bedroom of a residence near the 10200 block of Clarksville Pike between 7 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 24 after an unknown suspect allegedly kicked-in the front door to gain entry. This burglary is also being investigated with the kick-in burglaries. 

Vehicle Theft

A 1998 silver Toyota Rav 4 was reported stolen from the 5100 block of Phantom Court overnight on Sept. 27.

A blue Dodge Caravan was reported stolen at 7:56 a.m. near the 9200 block of Lapwing Court on Sept. 26.

A blue Honda Accord was reported stolen near the 6900 block of Deep Cup on Sept. 25 at 12:52 a.m., but was later recovered near the 10700 block of Hickory Ridge Road.

A 2008 lime green Kawasaki Ninja was reported stolen near the 8900 block of Footed Ridge on Sept. 26 at 5:18 p.m.
