Bank Robbed Tuesday in Columbia; Photos Released

Police are offering a $2,500 reward.

Howard County police have released photos of a man they say robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in Columbia.

The robbery happened at about 3:15 p.m. at the Susquehanna Bank on the 8800 block of Columbia 100 Parkway, according to Elizabeth Schroen, spokeswoman for the Howard County Police Department.

The suspect demanded money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, Schroen said. Police do not know which way the suspect fled.

No employees or bank customers were injured in the robbery, Schroen said.

The suspect is described as a white male of average build, about 6-feet tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a black hat, sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt with a white zipper and white drawstrings, and dark shorts.

A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information can call 410-313-STOP (7867) and may remain anonymous.
