Armed Robbery Near Wilde Lake: Howard County Crime Reports

Armed robbery

A man and women were talking in a parking lot in the 5200 block of West Running Brook Road when they were approached from behind by a man who placed a gun to the back of the man's neck. The armed man demanded money, so the male gave up his wallet, but when the suspect found no cash in it, he threw it to the ground and demanded the woman's money. She provided money and the suspect fled. The incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. on June 16.

  • Police gave the following suspect description: A black male, about 20 years old, 5-foot-9, between 150 to 160 pounds with a flat-top haircut.

A guest at the Sheraton Hotel in Town Center was working out in the hotel's fitness center when she observed a male outside the window exposing himself around 9 p.m. on June 16. 

Juvenile robbery

One juvenile stole cash from another juvenile after pushing him down in the 7300 block of Mossy Brink Ct. on June 15. The suspect was located and arrested by police, who released him to the custody of his mother. The money was returned to the victim.

Trespassing

Officers responding to a call of people running in and out of a vacant home found that the building's front and sliding door were open on June 14. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing or damaged.

Elkridge

Commercial burglary

Someone removed a bolt from a locked gate at the Thermo-King in the 7300 block of Washington Blvd. to gain entry to the parking area. A total of 15 tires and rims were then stolen from box trucks and a trailer sometime overnight on June 15 - 16.

Ellicott City

Residential burglary

Someone stole a bicycle from a storage shed attached to a residence in the 2800 block of Greenway Drive sometime in the early morning of June 16.
