Armed Robbery in Long Reach: Columbia Crime Roundup

The following arrest information was supplied by the Howard County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Armed Robbery

Three unknown suspects, all with dreadlocks, one armed with a gun, another armed with a knife approached a man who was on foot at the station at 6000 Foreland Garth around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. One of the suspects asked the man for a dollar, then allegedly displayed the gun and told the man to give the suspects his money, according to police spokesperson Sherry Llewellyn. One of the other suspects displayed the knife. The victim gave the suspects his money. Police are seeking suspects.

Residential Breaking and Entering

A gold chain was taken from a residence near the 5900 Block of Harpers Farm Road between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday. Police reported there were no signs of forced entry.

Sometime between April 1 and May 19, entry was attempted at a residence near 9600 Golden Rod Path, but was unsuccessful, according to police.

A kitchen patio door at a residence near the 7300 block of Guilford Road was allegedly forced open between noon, Friday and 7 p.m., Saturday. Police reported nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.
