Armed Home Invasion on Tamar Drive

Three suspects reportedly entered a residence, assaulted victim with a handgun and stole prescription medication.

 

Three armed suspects reportedly entered a residence near the 8300 block of Tamar Drive, struck a victim with a handgun and stole prescription medicine around 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 11, according to police.

Police reported the suspects entered the residence through an unlocked front door and demanded prescription medicine from the resident and a visitor who was inside the home. One of the suspects then struck the resident with the butt of a handgun, causing a laceration on the victim's face, according to police.

The suspects stole prescription medication, Nike blue Air Max sneakers and electronics, then fled the scene, according to police.

The victim was transported to Howard County General Hospital for treatment.

Police described the suspects as:

1. Black male, 6’, dark complexion, heavy set, shoulder length dreadlocks, wearing blue sweatshirt with hood, jeans and mask.
2. Black male, 5’ 5”, skinny, wearing beige shirt black and jeans. No mask.
3. Black male, tall, light complexion, short hair, wearing a light colored shirt, jeans and a blue mask

The residence where the home invasion reportedly took place is about a quarter mile from Long Reach High School.
