2 Burglaries Reported in Harper's Choice, Police Say

The burglaries were both off Harpers Farm Road.

Two burglaries were reported in Harper's Choice in the past few days, according to police.

On Thursday morning, a resident returned home to the 6100 block of Turnabout Lane and found the locks had been changed and items disturbed, police said. Nothing was taken in the burglary, which occurred sometime between 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, and 12:15 a.m. on May 8.

At 1 p.m. on Wednesday, someone entered a residence in the 5300 block of Harpers Farm Road through a bedroom window, the Howard County Police Department reported. Nothing was said to be missing.

Edwin Duque, 26, of El Camino Court in Columbia, was charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary and trespassing in connection with the Harpers Farm Road incident, police said.
