13 People Hospitalized After Crash on Route 1 in Elkridge: Officials
A medical bus was dispatched to the scene, officials said.
More than one dozen people were taken to local hospitals after a crash on Washington Boulevard/Route 1 in Elkirdge Tuesday morning, Howard County emergency officials reported.
A medical bus was sent after 7:30 a.m. to transport the victims of a crash in the 7500 block of Washington Boulevard, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
The injuries were minor but there would be an "extensive operation" in the area, according to the department.
A total of 13 people were transported to local hospitals as a result of the crash, the department reported, all with minor injuries.
Five people were taken to Howard County General Hospital, while others were taken to St. Agnes, Harbor Hospital and the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, the department reported.
Traffic was reportedly getting by in the area by 8:15 a.m.
