Betty Lois Beisel, of Ellicott City, died Oct. 7 at the age of 89. She was born in in Michigan in 1924 and when World War II broke out she joined the Army Corps of Nurses as a surgical nurse. In Denver, she met her husband of 62 years, Dr. William Robert Beisel. The couple had five children and later retired in Naples, FL. At the age of 70 Betty started her own upholstery business in Frederick and in her lifetime she collected antique porcelain, rugs and enjoyed cooking.

Elizabeth P. Horn, of Ellicott City, a mother of three, grandmother of six and wife to Carl A. Horn for 62 years, died on Oct. 10, she was 82.

Ronald R. Hogg died Oct. 13, he was 61.

Lucille S. Schoppert died Oct. 7, she was 95.

Sandra Gorvine Sachs died Oct. 8 at the age of 73. She was the mother of two, and grandmother of three.

Atef Naguib Abdelmalak died Oct. 9, he was 47.

Mary Lou Payne, wife of Donald J. Payne, and mother of three died Oct. 9 at age 78.

Stanley John Marc, of Elkridge, a father of six, died on Oct. 6 at the age of 101. He spent 35 years as a tool and die maker for Martin Marietta Corporation in Middle River and contributed to projects such as NASA training capsules and the Gemini project.

Uk Bong Cho, of Ellicott City, a father of five, died Oct. 7. He was 89.

Eui Soon Kang, of Ellicott City, died Oct. 9. He was 64. Kang was a father of two and grandfather of three.

Ramona Margarita Palma, of Laurel, mother of three, grandmother of 13, great grandmother of 14 and great-great-grandmother of one, died Oct. 10. She was 86.

Jalene (Gulley) Hanlin, of Laurel, died on Oct. 12 at the age of 84. Hanlin attended Rice Memorial Church of God, where she played the piano and served as secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She was the wife of Golden E. Hanlin and the mother of six. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
