Help our Kids get the Sleep they Need! Start School Later

Howard County has joined with Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties to encourage it's respective Boards of Education to Start School after 8:00am in all three counties.  The tip of the spear for this effort is a petition drive in each county.  Howard Counties petition can be seen here:

We hope you will sign our petion.  At the very least, I hope you will scoll down to the bottome of the petition page and hit the "next" button.  By doing so, you can read the comments offered by some of the 1015 signers - many of them Howard County High School Students. 

So far, Anne Arundel County has 3,660 signers and Montgomery Count has a whopping 10,291! If you are not sure why this is so important, search here on Patch for "start school later" or "School Start Times".  We will continue to post the science post ways to make the change as painlessly as possible.  This will help our incredible school system do even better!!!
