When:  Sat., Sept. 22, 2012, 8-9:30 a.m.

Description:  Families are invited to walk a 1.5 mile hayride path visiting stations along the way to learn about healthy living, farms, food, and more.

Where: 5610 Chamblis Drive, Clarksville

When:  Sat., Sept. 22, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Description:  Spectators are invited to watch world-class equestrians race to hurdle obstacles. Proceeds from this event benefit the HCC Educational Foundation, providing funding assistance to HCC students.

  • Columbia Association Free Lakefront Festival

Where:  Columbia Association, 10221 Wincopin Cir Ste 100, Columbia

When:  Fri, Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 23, 6:30 p.m.

Description:    Fri., Sept. 21, 2012, 6:30 p.m. –   free dance instruction with music will be held under the People Tree at Town Center Lakefront, from 6:30-8 p.m. When the dance session ends — free movie begins.  Movies begin at dusk (about 8:30 pm). All films are rated (G) unless otherwise noted.

                        Sun., Sept. 23, 2012, 6:30 p.m.  – Free concert.

  • National Family Resiliency Center 5K Race and 1K Fun Walk

Description:  Families are invited to join in a 5K race and/or 1K fun walk to raise money for NFRC.

  • 2012 Women of Christ Church Annual Flea Market

Where: Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Rd, Columbia

When: Sat., Sept. 22, 9 a.m.

Description:  Annual flea market featuring food, crafts, vendors and more.

  • Howard County Heart Walk

Where:  Centennial Park, 10000 State Route 108, Columbia

When:   Sat., Sept. 22, 9 a.m.

Description:  Howard County residents are invited to walk to add their calorie donation to the American Heart Association’s Billion Calorie Count-UP.

  • 2nd Annual Morgan Stanley Quarry Lake Fall Fest

Where:   Quarry Lake Dr., Pikesville

When:  Sunday, Sept. 23, 11 a.m.

Description:  More than 70 vendors set up on Quarry Lake Dr.. including flower, plants, jewelry, arts & crafts and retail vendors.  Food and beverages available.  Proceeds to benefit The Pikesville Chamber of Commerce.

  • 4th Annual Fall Fiesta Festival

Where:  Washington Ave & 2nd Ave, Halethorpe

When:  Sunday, Sept. 23, 11 a.m.

Description:   Food, drink, entertainment and demonstrations for the whole family.

Where:  8600 Foundry St, Savage

When:  Friday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 22, 8 p.m.

Description:  Learn about ghostly events and hauntings at the historical Savage Mill.

Pricing:  $13 adults, $11 Children (12 & under) & Seniors (65+) and Active Military Personnel and their Families

  • Catonsville Rails To Trails Bike Ride

Where:  815 Frederick Rd, Catonsville

When:  Sunday, September 23, 8 a.m.

Description:  Cyclists will gather at Atwater’s Bakery, located at 815 Frederick Road, for a 20-mile moderately paced (10-12 mph) ride. The route will take Catonsville trails to a loop through the State Park and back.  Some hills are encountered, including the Trolley Trail #9 return.
