Happy hours at Columbia Archives - a chance to meet friends and reminisce

Join the Columbia Archives for a couple of happy hours on
Tuesday, December 6, and Friday, December 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. to reminisce about Columbia while you are surrounded by things that might help jog some memories. Sharing stories about Columbia is a great pastime for many, judging by the popularity of the Facebook group, “You know you grew up in Columbia when ... .” However, we know you don’t have to grow up here to play the game; it can be equally fun for parents who raised their children in Columbia or recently moved here. Have you ever thought, “You know you haven’t lived in Columbia long if you still have trouble finding a gas station,” or “I know Wilde is spelled with an ‘e’, but why?” Whether you’ve been here for two months or 20 years, we invite you to bring your memories, and any burning questions, about this place you call home.

Refreshments will be provided.  Books about Columbia will also be on sale for those wanting to bring the memories home for the holidays. Columbia Archives is located at 10227 Wincopin Circle in Columbia Town Center.  For directions or more information, please e-mail Columbia.Archives@ColumbiaAssociation.com or call 410-715-3103.

Columbia Archives is a service of Columbia Association. Columbia Archives preserves the history of Columbia and the career of James Rouse. It is a public research facility and offers outreach programs to make the material accessible. It is open to visitors on a daily basis Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit ColumbiaArchives.org, e-mail Columbia.Archives@ColumbiaAssociation.com or call 410-715-3103.
