Musicians of Mercy: A Benefit Concert for Earthquake Relief in Japan

Musicians of Mercy will present A Benefit Concert for Earthquake Relief in Japan at Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Rd., Columbia, MD 21045 on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is FREE, but donations are welcome. Proceeds will be sent to World Vision: Japan Quake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Jonathan Palevsky, Program Director at WBJC 91.5FM Baltimore's Classical Music Station, will deliver opening remarks. MOM Orchestra will perform Antonin Dvorak's "New World" Symphony No. 9. An original work by Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, two jazz sets, and chamber music by Maurice Ravel, Rebecca Clarke, and Frank Bridge will conclude the concert.
