Columbia/Howard County chapter of PFLAG - Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - to take place on April 12, 2011 at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in Columbia.
We will present a panel discussion on the various options available for same- sex couples and individuals to legally adopt and become foster parents. A Q & A session will follow. The speakers include:
- Michele Zavos - Adoption Lawyer from Zavos Juncker Law Group, PLLC
- Laura Teeter – Family Specialist from Adoptions Together
- Karen Leins – Social Worker from Howard County Dept. of Social Services
- Dr. Dean Kirschner – Executive Director of Adoption Makes Family
- Josh Sullivan – Parent in a same-sex relationship with two adopted children
