WWII Panel Discussion with Veterans: Bridges to Freedom

Howard Community College has invited six World War II veterans (three from Howard County) to participate in an exciting and engaging panel discuss and question and answer session about their time during D-Day and other wartime events. This free event is a unique opportunity for audience members to learn about the war through the intimate insights of veterans who either landed on Utah Beach, served on the USS Intrepid, or served in another capacity as the US was immersed in war. Collectively, these veterans served in the Army, Navy, and the Marines, from Europe to the Pacific.

Of the 16 million Americans who served during World War II, it is estimated that only one million remain alive today. With the more and more veterans passing away, soon there will be no WWII veterans alive to share their experiences.

After the panel discussion, there will be an informal lobby gathering to allow audience members to meet the WWII veterans. Refreshments will be served.

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to experience history on July 18!
