The Columbia Orchestra Auditions

Columbia Orchestra, Neighbor

Audition Requirements (to last no longer than 15 minutes total)

  • Two octave major and minor scales through 3b and 3# (articulated/slurred as you wish)
  • 2 prepared pieces of contrasting nature (orchestral/concerto excerpts are acceptable)
  • Sight-reading at the discretion of the Music Director

Fall 2013 Auditions will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013, 1:00 – 5:00 PM and Monday, August 12, 2013, 7:00 – 10:00 PM for the following:

  • Permanent positions for all string instruments
  • Substitute positions for all woodwinds, brass, and percussion
