Living Off the Land - Civil War Soldier Campfire

Experience the Civil War as a soldier would have, encamped
with his unit here on the land of Howard County. Learn about what a soldier’s
life was like – from camping under the stars to marching across meadows – while
viewing authentic Civil War-era artifacts and equipment. Have fun while
learning about the war with your family as you participate in marching drills
and view a safe, bullet-free firing demonstration. You even get a chance to
find out how the land we live on in Howard County played a special role in the
war. Afterwards, relax and enjoy roasting some marshmallows by the crackling
campfire! Registration/Info: 410-313-0400. Recommended age is 7 yrs+. Cost is $10 individual; $25 family.
