The Leprechaun Charity Run is an annual running event to support Our Lady of Fatima Children's Center orphanage project in Tanzania. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Tanzanian Children's Project (TCP) a non-profit located in Columbia, Maryland.
The event consists of an 8K run on the roads, a 5K run through the woods on the grounds of the Shrin of St. Anthony, and a 1K Fun Run/Walk. To register click here.
TCP raises money to support the construction and operational costs of health and educations projects that directly benefit the lives of children who have lost one or both parents due to diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, or to accident or other causes of death.
Our current project is the completion of the Malowa Medical Dispensary, an outpatient clinic that offers maternal and child healthcare (MCH), routine checkups, health education classes, vaccinations, wellness education, and a host of other services.
Visit www.tanzaniakids.org for more information about the Tanzanian Children's Project.
