Co-Sponsored by the PTA Council of Howard County and the American Association of University Women.
The forum will feature candidates for the four open seats on the Howard County Board of Education. Due to the number of candidates running for this office, there will be two rounds, with half of the candidates participating in each. Candidates will make opening statements, respond to questions developed by the League and its partners as well as questions from the audience, and then make closing statements. Candidates competing in the second round will be sequestered until it is their turn, and will be asked the same questions as their other opponents.
The forum will air live and be rebroadcast on HCPSS TV (Comcast 95 or Verizon 42) in the months leading up to the primary, and will stream live and be hosted at the HCPSS TV website.
The League of Women Voters of Howard County is a nonpartisan political organization which has worked since 1920 to engage people in government and impact public policy through education and advocacy.
